Amazona Natural Care began with something very personal: the way we learned to care for our own family.
Our story stretches between two remarkable places — Brazil and New Zealand.
Brazil is where our roots are. A land of extraordinary biodiversity, where nature has always been close to everyday life and where we grew up with a deep appreciation for the simple things the natural world provides.
New Zealand is where our family now calls home. Here, surrounded by the beauty and simplicity of Aotearoa, those roots found new ground.
Amazona was born where these two worlds meet.
Even our name carries that story — inspired by the richness of the Amazon and shaped by the place we now call home.
It Started at Home
Like many things that become meaningful, Amazona did not begin as a business idea.
It began in the everyday moments of raising our daughter.
The nights when settling to sleep was difficult. The little tummy discomforts. The restless days. Those small childhood moments that may not call for medicine, but still make a parent wish there were something gentle they could do to bring a little comfort.
As parents, we know that feeling well.
We began exploring essential oils and botanical ingredients as a simple, natural way to support our family's everyday routines. Gradually, they became familiar little rituals in our home.
A calming blend became part of winding down before bed. Another was something we could reach for when a little tummy needed comforting. Sometimes it was simply the act of applying a familiar blend, slowing down and offering care that made the moment feel different.
And there was something deeply reassuring about having those options within reach.
We weren't looking for miracle solutions or trying to replace medicine when medicine was needed. We simply loved knowing that, for the ordinary little discomforts of everyday family life, we had something gentle and natural we could reach for first.
That feeling became the seed of Amazona.
